Hello everyone! Hope you all are having a good week. This week we're talking about tips we use to stay productive. Check it out!
If you know me, you know I'm involved in so many different things. I feel like I always have new ideas, a plan of action, and a time where I want to get it all done. It can be overwhelming and sometimes I may forget about something or feel a little all over the place. Because of this, I decide to use Trello to keep track of my life and make sure I'm really efficient.
Trello is a web-based project management tool that allows you and other people to collaborate on projects, assign tasks, and keep track of what has been completed. You may have used it in school for class projects or for organizations you are apart of, but have you thought about using it for your own life? This is how I use it.
Have lists for each of your different focus areas:
Each area that you want to focus on, whether it be home improvements, classes, projects, can have its own separate task list to determine what is deemed to be complete. You can also set due dates to create a deadlines for yourself and set reminders.
Make a to do list for each of your different task items
With each list you create create cards that are associated with that list. With that, card you can create a checklist that outlines you need to do in order for the class to be complete as well as outline a due date.
Pick a target focus.
Although I do have everything all laid out visually, I don’t try and complete them all at once. For example, this month I focused on building a website for one of my other projects. I don‘t know what I’m focusing on next month, but I know it’ll be something on this list.
Enjoy all the green checks for completion.
It’s such a satisfying feeling completing a card and seeing that green check mark. With using Trello, you’re also able to see how much you have accomplished in a given time period when you look back.
Do you use any tools to help you stay productive and organized? Do you like posts where I talk about different apps that I use? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram, or in the comments! See you next week! -The Engineer
